The Dragon In The Stone by @DorisO’Connor @EvernightPub #NaughtyFairytales

Thank you so much for having me on your blog with my Naughty Fairytale, The Dragon in the Stone, which is an erotic twist on Beauty and the Beast.

I always say I find inspiration in all sorts of places and this story is no exception.

The idea first came to me during a walk with my kids last summer. As we were meandering past the stream in one of our local parks, my ten year old daughter piped up.

“Look mummy, that’s the stone that looks like a dragon.”

She pointed toward a rock formation that made up one side. Now, I’ll be honest I didn’t see a dragon, just rock, lol, but she was adamant it was a dragon. As were the
other kids, when they looked.

So, it got me thinking about this girl who sees the dragon in the stone. The idea was
born, and when the lovely Rhonda in my reader Group, The RavDor Chicks asked me to write dragon story… the rest is history as they say.

The Dragon in the Stone was my NaNoWriMo effort last year, and you know with the awesome Gary Taylor as my visual inspiration for Lord Drorgan, my fingers flew.

You can check out my Pinterest board for this story here: https://uk.pinterest.com/dorisoconnor/the-dragon-in-the-stone/

Not only did I win NaNoWriMo, but I had the story submitted and
accepted by the end of November, something of a record for me, I tell you. And
that was with me wanting to bash Dorgan’s and Rhonda’s heads together, at time.
They’re as stubborn as each other, and I was beginning to despair that they
ever would get it together. When they do… well, he’s a dragon and things get
HAWT in an entirely different way.

*winks*

I loved writing these two, and I hope my readers will too.

the stone and she has never forgotten her fierce protector. It sparked her
fascination with all things dragon. If only they were real. There are no such
things as fairytales, however.

#NewRelease Lost In Magic by @RoseWulfAuthor with @EvernightPub #NightShadowsSeries #Vampires #Suspense

Hello! Thank you for having me today! I’m super excited to share with you my latest release, LOST IN MAGIC (Night Shadows 4)!

Blurb:

Nearly a year after losing her best friends to vampires, Allison Drake knows it’s time for a change. And a nice cruise to the Bahamas sounds like just the ticket. She meets a sexy man on day one and knows it’ll be the vacation of a lifetime. But she’s not prepared for passengers to start disappearing under mysterious circumstances, or the implications that follow.
Mick Darringer is on the cruise not for the destination, but for the distraction. He needs to lay low and he knows the Council would never think to look for an earth witch on a cruise. It wasn’t part of his plan to meet a beautiful woman, but he’s not about to walk away. Ali captivates him from the moment he lays eyes on her.

But it’s not long before they learn that this cruise has problems. Problems in the form of vampires.

Excerpt:

I should call Mick. He was bound to start worrying. And it wasn’t like she didn’t want to hear his voice. She was just worried the distance of a phone call would actually make her feel worse. You’re stalling. But calling herself out on her cowardice didn’t seem to be working this time.
Ali nearly jumped out of her skin when someone knocked loudly on her door.
She tightened her arms around herself and looked toward the locked door. Would it be Warner again?
“This isn’t over, Ali,” Warner had said with one hand on the door handle. Whether he’d actually said it as a threat or she’d simply heard it is as one she’d never know. But it’d been nearly half an hour since that conversation and he didn’t strike her as patient.
I wish these doors had peepholes. She didn’t understand why those things weren’t standard. But sitting alone on her bed wasn’t going to chase away whoever was at the door. Just answer it, tell them off, and then call Mick. He was surely waiting. It’d been a few minutes now since the announcement that the impromptu lockdown was over and they were all free to roam about the ship again. There was even the chance, she supposed, that the person at the door was Mick.
That was the thought that finally propelled her to her feet.
Still, her stomach clenched as she slid back the deadbolt. Just a peek. Mick was probably waiting by his phone. Why would he be worried about her?
It was a long moment before Allison realized she was staring into concerned green eyes. Gorgeous, familiar green eyes. She almost felt like crying. Almost.
“Mick?” As if that face could belong to anyone else.
“Ali,” he said on an exhale. There was an echo of fear in that voice. “I was worried.”
Her heart swelled and she opened the door properly, managing a smile. “Come inside,” she said. She didn’t want to be out and about in her hall at the moment.
Mick didn’t need to be asked twice. He stepped in, waited for her to shut the door, and then promptly pulled her by the hips up to his chest. He found her lips hungrily and she moaned as his tongue slipped into her mouth.
Ali curved her arms around his shoulders, letting one hand thread its way into his hair as their tongues danced. There was something in this kiss. Something more than attraction and opportunity. And whatever it was, she liked it. Wanted to lose herself in it.
Which was probably why he released her lips moments later.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice thick and his hands still heavy on her hips. Possessive. Comforting.
Stupid tears threatened her eyes for a moment but she fought them back and rested her head on Mick’s strong shoulder. Lie. Tell him yes.

“What’s wrong, baby?” This question was soft, washing right through her, punctuated by the arms he wrapped around her waist.
She hadn’t really wanted to lie to him, anyway.

Holly Smith has always had a certain affinity with computers. By day, she strengthens Internet security for corporations. By night, she’s a hacker. When she hits upon what she believes to be an author’s unpublished manuscript, she finds herself reading about a world where warriors of old wage war against a dark force bent on consuming everything it touches. Then she finds out it’s all true.

Demaratus of Corinth has seen a lot during his lifetime. And while many things prove useful, he finds technology to be a greater hindrance than a help. Sent to find the hacker who managed to penetrate their base’s security, he is stunned to realize who she is to him. As the darkness closes in on them, Demaratus and Holly will have to battle to survive not only the coming fight but the war that is gaining momentum.

Excerpt:

“Mercury, sir, I think you’ll want to see this.”

Looking up, Demaratus saw the young Marine waving over the base’s commanding officer. While he was wary of having humans around, he did appreciate the fact that many of them had knowledge of things that the older warriors did not.

“What is it?” Mercury muttered when he rolled his chair over to where the lad was working.

“It looks like the files that were taken from your site were put onto another site. The person that took them apparently believes that it’s an author’s work.”

For a long time, it was oddly silent in the room. “They think it’s for a book?” Mercury asked in a tone that went from his normal deep one to something in a much higher pitch.

The Marine shifted in his seat, looking uncomfortable. “Yes, sir, it would appear so. They’ve set up pages for what they think are various books. Works of fiction, from what I’m reading. They have tabs for each, with a description of the hero and what looks like a sneak peek of the work. It’s being called ‘reality-based fiction’.”

“What the hell does that mean?” Gaius asked.

“It means they think that this author is using figures from history to create his, or her, stories. Everyone is up on the site, except for Mercury. But he’s also the only one that doesn’t have a file on the base system.”

Everyone looked toward Mercury, who ignored them all. Demaratus found it interesting, yet not particularly odd, that the one who had started the guardians didn’t have a file to be hacked.

“We need to shut the site down, permanently,” Mercury was saying.

“I can try, sir, but you really should have the one that created it do it. Given the level of hacking required to break through all your firewalls, safeties, and other traps that were put into place, she probably has backdoors so that she’d be able to put it right up again as soon as I shut it down. And she’ll likely put in some form of a password that wouldn’t let me even attempt it the next time around.”

Frowning, Mercury nodded slowly. Demaratus knew the man’s mind was working fast and hard on the problem. While this technology wasn’t any of their fields of expertise, not one of them was an idiot. They could all think logically and strategically when it came to fighting a foe, even one unseen.

“Can you tell me where this person is?”

“Maybe, sir. Let me…” The Marine turned to face the computer, his fingers flying over the keyboard as images, words, and things Demaratus couldn’t understand popped up onto the screen, vanished, or morphed into something else.

“Best I can figure, sir, the person’s in Nevada,” the Marine muttered. “Damn, this one’s bouncing their signal around like a deranged Mexican jumping bean. There,” he said. “That’s as close as I can get you right now. If we got some equipment on the ground, we could narrow it down, but with whatever they’ve got going on with their system to protect it, and themselves, I can’t do any more from here.”

Leaning around one of the others in the room, Demaratus frowned at the monitor. The spot the Marine was pointing to was just southwest of Vegas. Damn close. Really damn close.

“Demaratus, take Alexander with you and a couple of the Marines to collect this individual. Say nothing, but black bag their ass back here. We need answers, and we need to know if this person is a threat or just an idiot.”

“We’ll also have to confiscate all the equipment,” the Marine added as he got to his feet. “It’ll help me figure out how the site was constructed and ensure that they can’t ever do it again.”

“Right, bring anything and everything back relating to us or to this person’s online activities.”

Sliding off the desk, Demaratus nodded. “Understood, sir.” The part that no one had to say, but he read in Mercury’s eyes, was that if this person was in less than perfect health upon their arrival at the base, Mercury wouldn’t be all that displeased. Might even thank him in the end. Not that Demaratus would set out to cause harm. It wasn’t in his nature. But he also wasn’t about to allow anyone to undermine the work they did or expose them to the public unnecessarily.

About The Author

Having been a lover of the written word all her life April has always wanted to expand her horizons and write something that could be shared with the world. Only one thing held April back, the fact that the letters and numbers mixed and jumbled more often than not. Diagnosed with Dyslexia when she was eight years old April had to work her butt off just to be able to keep up with the other kids in reading and writing, so her love for fictional writing was tossed to the wayside for the moment.

Time marched on, as it always does, and she forgot her childhood dream of becoming an author and instead focused on what she had to – creating a career for herself.

As the endless waves of time passed the shores became less rocky and more sandy, a place where she could find an even foot. That and Microsoft invented Word. Hallelujah.

This is where April began her journey into the written world, the world that her imagination had been ceaselessly creating for her entire adult life.

Now she has been given a chance to let her literary wings unfold and fly, thanks to the amazing publishers with Evernight Publishing and Secret Cravings Publishing.

Now its time to let the dream take flight and watch it soar!

Deep Dream by @ElodieParkes @EvernightPub #Erotica #ParanormalRomance

Thank you for inviting me to your blog today to celebrate my new release with Hot Ink Press, erotic paranormal romance, ‘Deep Dream.’

This story concept was originally formed for a proposed series. Now it has been completed revised, lengthened, and re-edited for Hot Ink Press.

Essentially a vampire erotic romance, it also has threads of magic, and taking place in New Orleans, it’s set in a music club/rock club, the mysterious StarZ.

Ethan Ross, the vampire hero, has been in New Orleans since his girlfriend and sire, dumped him in 1922. He’s used to the weird undercurrents of the city and now works in StarZ that caters to the supernatural folks. His band, Deep Dream, play there. He’s tasked with taking care of the ‘ordinary humans’ that arrive in the club and he does this happily …

With a broken heart to heal Ethan swore off love long ago … that is until starry eyed Anna Prideaux wanders into his life.
Then sparks start to fly

Read an excerpt

She watched him disappear into the gloom. Anna stood and scooped her phone from the counter. She glanced around to check who might be watching her. When it looked like no one was, she quickly followed Marcus. She quickened her pace as she lost sight of him in the swirling mist at the back of the club’s main room. Marcus disappeared.

When she reached where she’d last seen him a shiver spiked up her back. The mist was freezing cold, the air thick with potent. Anna turned away as a weird fear gripped her. She practically ran back to the bar, weaving through the groups of patrons, and muttering, “Sorry,” as she knocked into one, splashed the drink from the glass of another, until she stood in front of Ethan.

His gaze mesmerized her. She wasn’t even sure she actually heard his voice, but somehow he soothed her.

“Anna, it’s time you went home now. You want to go home. You have work to do transcribing the interview with the band. Everything’s fine.”

She smiled at him. “I’m off now. Thank you for answering my questions. Thank Marcus for me. He left.” She gestured toward where she’d run from. A flutter of fear rose in her stomach and then Ethan was leaning forward, his blue eyes capturing her so that she dreamily froze to soak up his low voiced words.

“Goodnight, Anna.”
She left the club happily, a faraway feeling carrying her along …

Excerpt:
Cassius Cupid woke with a start, and then sat bolt upright in his bed. Shit, I’m going to be late! was his first thought.
Milliseconds later his brain switched on, and he remembered. He was on holiday. Flopping back onto the warm mattress and pillows with a contented sigh, he smiled. No work for fourteen whole days—it was going to be utter bliss. He stretched, relishing the feeling it created in his sleep-softened muscles. Ahhh…this is the life.
He knew he wouldn’t go back to sleep—hell, it was eight o’clock, which was practically the middle of the day for someone in his profession—so Cassius fell to thinking about how he was going to spend his day, not to mention the several others in front of him. God knew he deserved to relax and have some fun. He’d just emerged from the busiest part of his year, and he was more than ready to do some chilling out.
He enjoyed his job as a postman—he really did—but the Christmas period was a total killer. He idly wondered how many cards and presents he’d delivered over the past few weeks. It didn’t bear thinking about. Once you factored in the festive period itself, the weird few days between Christmas and New Year, and then the flurry of mail that got sent when everyone went back to work properly at the beginning of January, he’d racked up some serious deliveries. And that was before you even thought about his other job—which was for just one day a year, but was arguably more important than the other 364 put together.
Cassius—or Cupid, as he was known to his boss and colleagues in his second, but most important job—was not only a regular postman for the Royal Mail, but also a reindeer. For a single day of the year, Cassius had the supernatural power to transform into one of Santa’s faithful steeds and help pull that famous magical sleigh, delivering presents to excited children the world over.
Therefore, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Cassius really did eat, sleep and breathe deliveries, but not for the next fourteen days. All he planned to do was watch some TV, read some books, maybe go out hiking, meet some friends… basically anything that wasn’t delivering something to someone. Hey, he might even receive something through the post himself—preferably not the usual crap; bills and junk mail. He didn’t hold out much hope.
He lounged in bed for another ten minutes before realising he was lying there just for the sake of it. Being on holiday didn’t have to equal staying in bed all day—and certainly not for someone as active as him. He reached over to his bedside table, grabbed his glasses and put them on. Throwing off his thick duvet, he walked to his bedroom window and peeked out through the curtains, immediately glad of the effective central heating he and his housemate had forked out to have installed the previous year.
The outside world was covered in a thick layer of snow, and Cassius was mightily glad that he wasn’t out delivering letters and parcels. The stuff was treacherous enough without having to carry a heavy bag up and down driveways, paths, and pavements — most of which either hadn’t been cleared, or had been cleared badly, leaving incredibly slippery patches of ground for an unsuspecting postie to come across. God knows he’d gone down enough times, but, much to his relief, nobody had ever seen him do it. He’d always been relatively unharmed—excerpt for his pride, of course—and had been able to scramble back to his feet and carry on.
The eerie silence outside was broken by the rumble of an engine, and Cassius turned his head to look up the street—he lived in a cul-de-sac, so he knew that’s where the vehicle would come from—and watched as a delivery van made its way slowly and carefully down the road. He hoped the driver was sensible enough to try and steer over the thickest parts of the snow—the more people went over and over the same patches, packing it down, the more the road surface resembled an ice rink. And since the cul-de-sac was on a slight hill, it was easy enough to get stuck. He’d seen it so many times—even going outside one time last winter to suggest the driver go down to the bottom of the road, turn around and try reversing up the hill—an almost foolproof plan for vans with rear-wheel drive. He’d gotten a big thumbs-up for that suggestion as the driver finally got to the junction where the road became flat, and went on his merry way.
As the van drew closer to his house, he saw that the driver was a woman. That would explain her cautious driving—he’d never admit it to one of his drinking buddies, but women were far superior when it came to driving in adverse weather conditions. He even thought he’d seen some survey containing statistics that proved it.

Beauty’s Beast by @RoseWulf of @EvernightPub #Erotic #Paranormal

Hi and thanks for having me on your blog today!
I’m excited to talk about my latest release, Beauty’s Beast! This one is part of Evernight Publishing’s Naught Fairytales line and is, you guessed it, a re-imagining of Beauty & the Beast. My version comes complete with a mouth-watering incubus trapped in a castle!
Info:
Beauty’s Beast
MF
Erotic paranormal romance
Blurb:
He was an incubus. She a human.
He was bound to the castle. She was only visiting.
It should never have worked….
Aurora’s life took a turn for the exciting when she won a four-night trip to Castle Finnegan. A castle inhabited by a sexy stranger with smoldering bedroom eyes and a sinful touch. It was easy getting swept up in his arms, harder to accept that she had to let go.
Daemyn didn’t get attached. There was no point. But he couldn’t keep Aurora out of his heart any easier than he could keep her from his bed. And that presented a problem, because if she ever found out he wasn’t human she would run. Not that it mattered, because he was cursed to the castle for eternity … unless he could get Aurora to love him for what he was.
Excerpt:

Aurora rolled onto her back, blinking up at the shifting shadows on her tall ceiling. She’d left her bedroom curtains open so that her room might fill with moonlight, and in that, she was not disappointed. If she were being honest with herself, actually, she was only disappointed with one thing so far—not knowing Mr. Sexy’s name. But she swore she could still feel his lips on her neck. His tongue slipping out to moisten the skin. The graze of his teeth when he sucked. The heat of his hands through the fabric of her robe.
“Be ready for me tomorrow.”
Even now that bold, promising declaration pulsed through her. She should have been scandalized. Horrified. Furious. Most rational women would surely have stormed right up to Mr. Finnegan’s room and demanded action be taken. But she wanted no such thing. No, all Aurora really wanted was to fall into Mr. Sexy’s arms and find out if he made love as well as his touch said he would.
She was uncomfortable. Her core ached with need and she knew if she checked, she’d find herself wet. And there was really only one thing she could do about it … if she was brave enough to do such a thing under someone else’s roof. With her best friend across the hall. Ordinarily she might not have been, but tonight the desire was strong. It burned hot through her veins just thinking about the man who’d started it.
Besides, who’ll know? There was no harm in it.
Pulling her lips between her teeth, Aurora kicked down the comforter and slipped her hand beneath the waistline of her pajama shorts. Sure enough, she found herself slick and sensitive. So she closed her eyes, slid her fingers over her folds, and pulled up a mental image of Mr. Sexy. Tall, broad, with rippling muscles and a deep, sensual voice. Dark brown eyes and long, dark hair.
A hot, heavy touch.
“Breathe, beautiful,” he’d said when he touched her. She moaned and slid a finger into her center. Good God, his voice … even now it rumbled through her like a promising caress.
Someone knocked at her door, startling her so much she accidentally thrust her finger harder into her body. She couldn’t have stopped the resulting moan if she tried, and she prayed that whoever was on the other side of the wooden door hadn’t heard it. Before she could gather herself enough to straighten her clothes and stand, however, the door swung open and she froze.
It was him.
Mr. Sexy.

Writing shifters was something I was asked to do by so many readers, I felt I had to try it. Did I hit a home run? Only time will tell.

THE ALPHA’S TABOO MATE is book one in my new Blood Moon Lynx series. Here is the link to the series page on my website:

http://ravennatate.blogspot.com/p/blood-moon-lynx.html

Here’s the series blurb:

One thousand years ago, in an unholy alliance, a male lynx shape shifter and a female vampire became lovers. Both knew their mating was forbidden, but their desire for each other was too great to ignore. Under a blood moon, they mated. The lynx bit the vampire woman, marking her as his mate. The vampire in turn bit the male lynx shifter, marking him as hers forever.

But then the lynx took a human female as a lover, betraying the vampire and pack law. When the vampire discovered his infidelity, she struck out against the two, but in the end couldn’t kill her lover. The human female and the lynx turned on the vampire. While she slept in her coffin during the day, they drove a stake through her heart. Unbeknownst to them, in doing so they turned the vampire’s mark of possession on the lynx into a powerful curse that affected his descendants for all eternity.

Despite centuries of mating with other female cat shifters, the male lynx shifters still have vampire blood in their DNA. Because of this, they possess powers that include being able to see minute details at great distances, and being able to travel with tremendous speed while in partial or full shifted form. Their powers are strongest during a blood moon. When they mate with a human, however, the offspring possess enhanced negative traits such as greed and contempt for the pack and its laws.

As the legend of the unholy alliance grew into a myth, fewer cats believed in it, thus exposing all the packs to dangers that still lurk today…

Here’s the blurb for THE ALPHA’S TABOO MATE

Alpha lynx shifter Canyon Benedict has always known Fiera Kent was his mate. When leopard shifter Hawke Medina tries to claim her, in order to use her as leverage to gain control of the Kent fortune, Canyon takes matters into his own hands. But even after he and Fiera are officially mated, the threat from the Medina family is far from over.

Fiera has loved Canyon from the time she was a child, and is thrilled when he sneaks her away to his family’s secret cabin across the river so they can be mated. But Hawke won’t let it go. Canyon and his father eventually discover illegal business practices that uncover the Medina family’s web of deceit and lies affecting their entire village.

But is it enough? Will Canyon have to fight Hawke to determine which alpha can finally claim Fiera for life?

And here’s a sexy excerpt!!

A powerful orgasm overtook her. In response, Fiera arched her back and cried out. Surely his dick inside her couldn’t feel better than this. If it did, she’d pass out from sheer joy. He continued sucking her clit and finger fucking her until the contractions began to subside. Once they did, he lay on top of her again and kissed her.

Fiera wrapped her arms and legs around his hot, hard body and shoved her tongue into his mouth. She tasted her own juices, but she didn’t care. This was so damn wonderful she might never leave this cabin. They could stay here, making love until they couldn’t walk, and she’d be just fine with that.

“Oh, Fiera…” Canyon sat back on his heels and stroked his dick again, then moved closer to her and guided it toward the opening to her wetness. “Are you ready?” His voice was so rough and gravelly, but that only added to the excitement.

“Yes!” She’d been ready for this most of her life. “Take me, Canyon. Make me yours.”

With a loud groan, he began to ease his cock into her pussy. Fiera held her breath and bit her lip because it hurt. “It’s all right, sweetheart. Try to relax your muscles.”

“Okay.” She smiled up at him, touched that he’d noticed her discomfort.

Canyon bent down and kissed her again, gently working his lips over hers until Fiera was so focused on the kiss and the heady sensation it sent coursing through her body, she didn’t realize his cock was finally inside her. There was no pain now, only a fullness that sent shockwaves of desire out to her fingers and toes.

“Oh, yes. That’s it.” When Canyon began to move, Fiera threw back her head and moaned loudly as the most exquisite pleasure flooded her senses. “You’re mine now, Fiera. No one can take you from me. We’re bonded forever!”

#NewRelease Shifter Trials by Shari Elder of @EvernightPub #shifter #paranormal #erotic

ShifterTrials-evernightpublishing-2016-smallpreview

Thank you so much for hosting me. I’m thrilled to be here and have the chance to share my story. Shifter Trials is a modern day rewrite of the Atalanta myth, the strong Greek woman who would only marry the man who beat her in a foot race. In this case, Talia is an alpha shifter, and Hayden is her vampire trainer. Put them together, turn up the heat and watch what happens.

Shifter Trials

On the night of the full moon, any male shifter can call the Trials to race against Talia Orion, alpha of the united wolf-eagle clans. Clan law requires Talia to marry the winner of the Trials, a grueling twenty-mile marathon through dangerous, rugged terrain. The product of an unhappy, political alliance masquerading as a marriage, Talia trains obsessively to ensure she avoids her parents’ fate.  Her newest vampire trainer, Hayden Mitchell, makes her powerful even as he knocks down her defenses, and finds his way, first, into her bed then into her heart.

Hayden has loved Talia since the first moment he saw her. As the destined ruler of the vampire clan, he has another agenda – to politically unite Talia’s clans with his own—what Talia fears most, and will never forgive him for.

About Shari Elder

By day, Shari Elder saves cities. By night, she builds them—on Saturn’s rings, under a lilac bush, in a coral reef – then packs them full of shifters, vampires, Olympian gods, extra-terrestrials or whatever else comes into her head. In all these wondrous worlds, romance and passion blossom, since she cannot resist writing a happy ending, especially for those who have given up on ever getting one. Now that’s satisfaction.

Raised on science fiction and fantasy, fueled by coffee and red wine, Shari writes early in the morning, late at night, and in between crises at home. She lives, contentedly albeit crazily, with her teen-age daughter, teen-age dog, and the elderly cat who rules the roost.

Shari loves co-creating stories and ideas, so the blog comment section is always open.

#New Release of Sparks of Blue by @RoseWulfAuthor of @EvernightPub #Fantasy #Paranormal

Hello my lovelies! Thank you so much for having me today!

I’m here this time to talk about my brand new release, Sparks of Blue (Dark Light 2)! I am beyond excited for this particular book and I just know you’re going to love it!

Sparks of Blue Dark Light series is Erotic paranormal romance, MF

Blurb:

Nearly a century ago warrior angel Kai and Nephilim Belle were lovers. Then he broke her heart and never looked back.
Now Second in Command of the angel armada, Kai knew he was the obvious choice for this long-term mission. And his job was clear: keep Belle and her patient alive. But he wasn’t prepared for the resurgence of old memories and long-ignored feelings. He’ll have to face what he did a hundred years ago if he wants a chance to be back in Belle’s arms…but even then, angels are forbidden from laying with Nephilim. If they were caught, Belle would be executed.
Born a Nephilim, Belle was neither angel nor human. But she was a healer, and she was damned good at it. Her reputation got her noticed by the armada and eventually earned her the title of Master Healer. It also earned her a terrible assignment: save the life – and therefore the soul – of a cursed human…under the protection of her ex-lover. And it turns out the chemistry they’d once shared may have been buried, but it’s a flame that could never burn out.
Excerpt:
She shoved the frustration of the never-ending struggle to prove herself from her mind as she checked out, doing her best to ignore the obvious flirtation attempt from the man at the desk. He could hardly meet her gaze long enough to smile. But she didn’t care, she just wanted to get out of there. As soon as she was done she moved out of sight, heading for a couple of trees that would make disappearing a little easier.
“You want me to smite him for you?”
Kai’s question startled her, as did the sound of his voice coming from behind her, and Belle jumped. “Kai, you scared the crap out of me!” she exclaimed as she turned to face him. His words hit her, then, and she couldn’t stop the tease. “Smite, really?”
“Seemed appropriate,” Kai said by way of explanation as he stepped into her personal space. Before she could catch her breath at his nearness he’d slipped her bag from her shoulders with one hand and caught her hip with the other. “Stop taking risks,” he added, the order roughened by a distantly familiar thickness to his voice that sent shivers of anticipation down her spine. Before she could process what he was doing he’d tugged her up against his chest and caught her lips in a hard kiss.
Belle moaned as he plunged his tongue into her mouth, demanding and teasing at the same time. He kissed her like a man starved, winding both arms around her as she kissed him back. Her skin burned beneath his heavy, heated touch and she threaded her fingers through his hair. It was thick and soft, exactly the way she remembered. He rolled his tongue over hers, stroking and sliding, reminding her body of exactly what he was capable of. Heat pooled low in her belly and she leaned into him instinctively.
For a long, blissful moment it was as if nothing had ever changed between them. The past ninety-plus years never happened. They were just two people with a powerful attraction to each other. They’d never broken up. He hadn’t ripped her heart out and torn it to shreds with his cruel words.
Except that he had. And that reminder was enough to dampen the flame he’d reignited in her blood. No matter how mindlessly good a kisser he was, no man was worth that. She had more self-respect than to throw herself at someone who could think so little of her.
Belle pushed back, taking a full step away from him as she fought to catch her breath. Her body rallied against her, remembering all too well the pleasure he could bring, but she held strong. She just hoped he couldn’t see the tears stinging her eyes.

About Rose:
Rose Wulf is a giant romance fangirl. Hot, protective, sometimes even downright barbaric heroes and spitfire heroines are her favorites. Rose has been writing for as long as she can remember, and over the years she’s only grown fonder of it. The bonds between characters have always captivated her, and as an author those are Rose’s favorite things to play with – not always to the relief of her fictional babies!
Behind the scenes Rose is a quiet personality. She enjoys spending her non-writing time with her German Shepherd, Shadow, her mom, and her friends. Be it a fun game of Cards Against Humanity or a relaxing movie night, Rose believes everything is better with company. As for her own romance, she’s still searching for her hero (and hoping that, when she does find him, he’ll be willing to cook!).

#NewRelease Stayed for Alpha by @RoseWulfAuthor #erotica #shifterromance

Hello again! Thank you so much for having me back! This time I’m here to tell you about the latest installment in my Night Shadows series: Stayed for Alpha!
Blurb:
Adam Jefferies is a young Alpha taking a big risk. He wants to set down roots in California – a state largely claimed by the oldest and most powerful vampires. He’s going to have to earn their place the hard way.
Whitney King is a Rogue wolf with a single purpose in life: get revenge for the pack that took her in so many years ago. The pack that was slaughtered by a dangerous vampire. She’s tracked that vampire to California and she’s prepared to risk her life to end him. But she’s not prepared to find something worth living for…
When Adam takes Whitney in she says it’s temporary. He knows it won’t be, but he’ll have to show her why if he wants her to stay.
Excerpt:
But when was the last time Rogues traveled in groups? Maybe that was the problem. Dylan was obviously Rogue. That alone would give most wolves reason to be cautious. Brody and Camila were followers. Gammas. Their attaching themselves to a stronger wolf made sense. And if Dylan had Alpha in him, his acceptance of them would make sense, too. But he swore he didn’t.
Adam just wasn’t sure whether or not he believed that.
As he watched, Dylan leaned a little too far into Whitney’s personal space and Whitney recoiled. Adam felt a surge of possessiveness flare inside him. Dylan was flirting with her and it pissed him off. Fortunately, Whitney’s rejection of those advances was fairly obvious. Except, apparently, to Dylan.
Dylan’s arm extended as though he were reaching for her and Whitney moved fluidly to her feet. Out of reach.
Adam took a step forward on instinct.
“Hey, Dylan,” Jim called from the grill a heartbeat later. He gestured with the tongs he held. “Why don’t I show you how to work this thing?”
That was probably for the best. Although if Adam’s possessive instincts didn’t cool off, Dylan’s time with them would have to be cut short.
Whitney used the opportunity to extract herself from the others and strode toward him purposefully. She stepped right into his personal space like she belonged there. “Kiss me,” she breathed. “Make a scene.”
Adam didn’t really need to be asked, but he didn’t bother to explain that, either. Instead he wrapped his arms around her waist and hauled her up to his lips. His tongue slipped into her mouth without resistance and Whitney’s hands dug into his shoulders as she held onto him. He nearly growled against her lips. Suddenly he felt like he’d been starving for her, and it was harder than it should have been to keep the kiss from leading somewhere.
He was hard and suitably breathless when the kiss broke. The sound of her own uneven breathing drew a brief grin from him. Until he remembered the reason for her demand. “Was Dylan bothering you?” he asked, voice low so as not to carry.
Whitney laid her head on his shoulder, face turned in so that she could talk quietly. “More like annoying. I’m hoping he’ll take the hint.”
Doing his best to smother his growl, Adam bent his head and traced his lips along her slender throat. “We’ll just keep reinforcing it.” Right then, right in that moment, Adam would have marked her as his just to keep her safe from another wolf’s harassment. As it was, he vowed that for as long as she was his he’d make sure his scent lingered on her skin. Thick enough that no wolf with half a nose could miss it.
“Are you sure about including them?” Whitney asked, drawing him out of his lust-induced frenzy. Mostly.
Adam frowned and lifted his head so that his chin rested on her head. She fit perfectly against him. Slender and soft, a good head shorter. Perfect for holding in his arms and wrapping himself around. But this wasn’t the time to be thinking about those things. Those might be things best left unexplored, even. “I’m reserving judgment. I have to consider it, at least.”
