#NewRelease Seamus’s Mate by Elyzabeth M Valey of @EvernightPub #Paranormal #romance @ElyzabethValey

Alpha Protectors, 2

Kaila is His. His Mate. Forever.

When Seamus discovers Kaila is in
danger he sets out to save her. He couldn’t care less that she doesn’t want him
there. His objective in life is to love and protect her. Besides, she might
refuse to be with him, but her body knows better. With both their lives on the
line, she can’t say no to his aid, can she?

For years, she has ignored her
feelings. Kaila’s mission was supposed to be easy: enter the demon’s lair and
save her sister. Then, he came along. For close to twenty years she has been
fighting against the mating pull. She has avoided Seamus at all costs, but now
they’re both trapped in hell and she has nowhere to run, except, maybe, into
his arms.

Excerpt:
“Wait up, Kaila.”
She didn’t acknowledge him, and he rushed to catch up with her. He grasped her wrist, spinning her around with force.
“Didn’t you hear me?” he asked.
Kaila’s gaze narrowed. Her lips pursed into an ugly grimace.
“Let go of me, Seamus. Why don’t you let this weak human die already?” She poked him in the chest with her index finger. “I didn’t ask for your help.”
Seamus scrubbed a hand over his face. “What is wrong with you? You’re not making any sense. I know you didn’t ask for my help. I gave it freely, but you aren’t going to deny that we are different, are you?”
“Fuck you.”
Blinding rage took over him. Seamus dug his fingers into her arm. He was tired of all this nonsense. He pulled her closer. Her arm shot out to keep him away, but not fast enough. He swooped down and claimed her lips. She gasped, and he seized the chance to push his tongue into her warm recess. He groaned. She tasted better than he remembered. For a brief moment, she grappled with him, attempting to break lose, but he grabbed her arms with ease and held them behind her back.
He twisted his tongue around hers, drawing it out from its reluctance and forcing it to battle with his. Something in his chest tightened as she responded. Yes. He sucked and tugged and demanded more. She gave it to him. Her body arched against his, her mouth seeking his with almost as much desperation as he possessed. His hold on her
slackened.
He wanted to touch her everywhere. To press his lips to her body and taste every inch of her. His hand trailed to the curve of her ass, then to her waist. Then, bang! Her knee slammed against his leg. He released her, cursing. He’d probably be incapacitated for life if she’d hit her mark.
“Fuck you, Seamus.”
“Whenever you want, babe. I know you’ve got the hots for me, even if you just tried to castrate me and failed miserably.” He laughed.
Kaila spun and walked away from him again. She was probably not trying to be sultry, but her hips swayed in that way that drove a man to stare. She lifted her arm and gave him the finger. He grinned. She was pissed and sexy. He loved it.
Seamus took in a shaky breath. Watching her back on her feet, her spirit alive and surging, was soothing. He rubbed at the spot where she’d kneed him. It hurt, but it was proof that she was herself again, not lying in a puddle of blood, shredded to pieces by a monster. He glanced at the Dream Catcher’s skeleton out of the corner of his eye. He
hadn’t told Kaila the details of what he’d suffered inside the beast. The images of her dead body, broken, destroyed. He didn’t wish his worst enemy a fate like that.
He stretched his wings and snapped them back into place. Even they ached. He adjusted his now-flaccid cock and shuddered. He hurried after Kaila. The place appeared deserted. There were no scones in the wall giving off light. Instead, the walls themselves seemed to pulse with energy. They glowed from the inside as if behind them a relentless flame burned. He frowned. He extended his arm and placed his pinkie on the rock. It burned.
“Damn it.” He put the digit in his mouth, hoping to sooth the sting. “Don’t touch the walls, babe. They’re hot.”
Kaila didn’t reply, but she moved a little closer to the center of the path.

J. J. Lore Bio:

J. J. Lore has been interested in the dashing men who roam outer space since she was transfixed by Han Solo piloting the Millennium Falcon a long time ago in a theatre far, far away. Sadly, there is no way for her to join in the fun of intergalactic adventures unless she writes them, so that’s what she does whenever she isn’t taking care of the business of life. If you can’t find her typing madly on her sluggish keyboard, she’s probably poking around in a thrift store searching for the perfect pair of worn jeans or a vintage kachina bolo tie. These days she puts her anthropology degree to work when she whips up dishes from many different cultures, most of which benefit from a liberal dose of sriracha or a smear of green curry paste. Her favorite reading topics are costume history, epidemiology, and permaculture, all of which she’d like to work into a story if she’s suddenly overcome with a brilliant idea someday.

Black Dawn (Dark Light 1) by @RoseWulf of @EvernightPub #Paranormal #Erotica

Black Dawn
Hello and thank you for having me today!

I’m super excited to tell you about my newest release, Black Dawn (Dark Light 1)! As the start of a new paranormal romance series starring angels, demons, and a few things in between, Black Dawn lays the ground work for the Dark Light world. I’m thrilled to be bringing this series to you and am absolutely sure that the gamut of sexy, bad-ass, Alpha heroes and their capable heroines will keep you begging for more! But I don’t want to get too ahead of myself, so here’s a little about Black Dawn:

Blurb:
Demons are real, and they walk among us.

Isolde Duchane grew up with a demon for a bodyguard. But as she’s matured, so have her preferences. And she’s got a thing for tall, strong, dark, and powerful demonic men. Really just one very specific demonic man. It’s too bad his life is bound to hers, putting her in a terribly awkward spot since what she wants is something more than a bodyguard.

Darr was summoned to protect Izzy when she was young. And he played the part to keep his own personal demons off his back. But things are starting to get out of hand, and not just because of his powerful attraction to the woman she’s become. The demon he’s been hiding from may have found him, and if he has… he may never get to tell Izzy the truth.

Black Dawn - Final

Excerpt:
“Now that we’re all fed and we all have some alcohol in our systems,” Letty said, “who’s ready for a game? I brought all the dirty ones!”
Letty’s hand was on the suitcase supposedly filled with naughty games when Izzy felt a tell-tale tingle trickle over her skin. She lifted her eyes to the darkest corner of the cabin—the corner beside her chosen bed, of course—just as Darr stepped into view.
“Izzy,” he called in his deep, rough timbre.
Ainsley and Britt’s cousin both cried out in surprise and even Britt and Letty jumped.
“Is that—?” Ainsley whispered with a glance toward Britt.
“Izzy!” Britt cried, a mixture of fright and frustration in her voice. She really did hate being around him.
Izzy apologized and waved her hand in their direction to pacify them as she moved up to her bodyguard. “What is it?” She knew for a fact he’d have continued hiding in shadowy corners silently if there wasn’t something important on his mind.
“Not here,” he said quietly, his voice sending delightful shivers down her spine. He reached out without another word, and wrapped a single arm around her waist before stepping back with her into the shadows. Izzy closed her eyes to minimize the disorientation as he transported them to a private location, her hands twisted in his tight, black shirt.
A moment later the sensation of movement faded and his grip loosened, though he made no move to step back until she released his shirt.
Lifting her gaze to his ashen one, Izzy repeated her earlier question. “What is it, Darr? Is something wrong?” She thought she’d seen Zahk with him earlier, but she thought nothing of it—Zahk was known to show up randomly from time to time. Had it not been a pleasant visit? Or was this something else?
Darr’s expression was somber. “I’m worried there will be an attempt on your father’s life tonight.”
Sucking in a breath, Izzy gasped, “What? Why?”
“Zahk was here earlier,” Darr replied. “It was something he said. I think he was trying to warn me.”
Pressing a hand over her heart, Izzy stepped into Darr and rested her head on his chest. Dad… It wouldn’t be the first time he’d angered someone—human or demon—to the point where his life was threatened. The first time he’d crossed that line, her mother had paid the ultimate price, and when he hadn’t learned from that lesson, Izzy eventually came to the conclusion that she needed to distance herself from him. But she still loved him.
Arm coming around her again, this time in an embrace, Darr rumbled a soft question. “What do you want me to do, Izzy?”
Tears stinging her eyes, Izzy swallowed them back and inhaled a deep lungful of his scent. Crisp like mountain air, with just a hint of molasses. “I know you don’t like going,” she acknowledged, “but please don’t let him die. Not like that.”
Darr was silent for a long minute, undoubtedly debating her request with his situation. But finally his hold tightened as he embraced her and his lips came to the side of her ear. “Stay inside, stay safe, and call for me if anything happens. I’ll be back before morning.”
Her heart warmed at the intimate way he held her and the tender tone in his voice. He might be a demon, but as far as she was concerned he was really her guardian angel. Or a knight in shining armor, maybe? “Thank you,” she whispered.
He loosened his hold, nodding when their eyes met, and took her hand in his. The next thing she knew her stomach was bottoming out and her feet were standing once again on an old wooden floor in a dark corner.

#NewRelease Undone by Destiny by Allyson Young of @EvernightPub #erotica, #paranormal

Desiree lost her heart to Tahl before he moved away, pursuing a redheaded shifter. Devastated, she somehow managed to hope he got what he needed. Except, being part Fae, she now believes she’s cursed him. Tahl has returned, unmated, refusing to share what transpired.
When Tahl pursues her, realizing what she has always meant to him, Desi desperately avoids, her guilt—and refusal to be second choice—a deterrent to her heart. Her twenty-fifth birthday approaches, and hot from the chase, Tahl corners her. He triggers her heat and she must allow him to assuage it, however outraged and resentful she might be.
The redhead follows Tahl, refusing to accept his mating—he can’t be bonded should his mate die… The males fail to thwart the nefarious plan, and the true
nature of both females is revealed. Only one bitch can win and keep Tahl’s
heart, and Desi won’t lose.

 Excerpt:

Now that he was here, he was stalling, and he grimaced. Nothing much scared him, but the female presumably inside the cabin… He forced his feet to carry up the short set of stairs and opened the front door with a confidence he didn’t feel. Until he saw her.

Huddled on the couch, facing him, was his future mate, the most
beautiful thing he’d ever seen—or scented. Cheeks flushed, hair now streaming in wild abandon and clothing awry, she glared at him, her rage muted by the trembling need radiating from her tense body.

“Baby. I got here as soon as I could. I—” His attempt at an apology
was overridden as Desi lurched to her feet.

“It’s not fucking fair that I have no recourse in this, Tahl. It’s a
done deal because you decided. You. And now I’m stuck with you. I have to submit to your … physical attentions so I can function.” She laughed, a harsh mimicry of her usual, musical burst of sound. The one he hadn’t heard in his vicinity for a very long time but had never
forgotten. The dichotomy scalded his senses.

She stood, her body shaking, the hormonal flux pouring off of her,
and he balled his fists to keep his hands to himself. A vastly angry Desiree
was an incredibly beautiful and appealing female and his wolf seethed with impatience against her siren call. Tahl shoved his animal back and cudgeled his brain for something that would soothe her. Some sense of self-preservation kept him from offering his heart. It was quite likely she’d carve it out of his chest and eat it with a spoon.

His breath stuttered as with awkward, jerky movements, she yanked at the front of her silky shirt, the fine fabric rending beneath her impatient
hands. She threw the remnants in the general direction of the couch before working at the zipper on her little skirt. The garment slid over her thighs to pool around her ankles, his avid stare tracking it as the black lace of her matching panties was revealed as well as the long length of her legs. She stepped out, nearly losing her balance, and kicked the material away.

This was so not how he imagined it. Throat dry, he closed the
distance. “Desiree. Easy, baby. Let me—”

“You’ve done enough, Tahl,” she coughed out between shuddering
breaths. “Now do what nature intended.” Her pretty bra popped open and her breasts were displayed. Sitting high on her narrow torso, they were in perfect proportion to the rest of her, though visibly swollen with need, the dark nipples beaded tightly.

Everything in him screamed to take her right fucking now, his cock
so hard it hurt, his wolf groveling. Groveling.  With inner strength he somehow drew from somewhere, perhaps his conscience, maybe his aching heart, he wrestled his libido into submission and hugged her
instead. Trying to offer her comfort. His eyes closed against the intense draw  of her soft, silky skin, the heat of her radiating intensely to the very marrow of his bones.

Desiree wrestled free, wild-eyed and flushed. Surely no other male
would have been so fucking stupid as to trigger his future mate’s heat on the side of a goddamn highway and then leave her unfulfilled? He cursed himself again.

She scrabbled at the fine stuff of her underwear and it met the same
fate as her shirt. Tahl drank in his first sight of the female who was his, all
creamy skin and smooth curves, the soft dark hair at her apex neatly trimmed. But she was shaking harder, out of control, the scent of her arousal overwhelming him, and instinct took over.

With economic movements, he stripped off his own clothing. Desiree
swayed, her eyes tightly shut as she panted through the tiny whimpers falling from her lips. He spoke her name even as he gathered her up and bore her down on the wide, soft couch, but she wouldn’t—or couldn’t—open her eyes.

There was no time, or need, or foreplay. He’d left her too long.
Testing her preparedness with one finger, he grunted his satisfaction. Soaked. Her thighs opened wide for him as he maneuvered between them, her arms splayed and her head thrown back. She writhed, her wolf clearly right at the surface, and her whimpers escalated both in volume and quantity.

Recognizing the time for fucking couldn’t be put off by
conversation, however necessary, he fit the weeping crown of his cock against her opening. Wet, sultry heat engulfed him as he surged inside on a desperate thrust. And froze at her muffled yelp.

“Fuck me, baby. Fuck. Me.” He wrapped her up, working his arms
beneath her shoulders to tuck her as tightly against him as he could manage while holding his cock steady, giving her time to adjust. It was his turn to screw his own eyes shut in order to concentrate on not moving one fucking iota. He’d just taken her virginity, and even his wolf paused in its desperation to claim her.

Ninth Day of Sexy- White Mountain Christmas by Sara Anderson of @EvernightPub #Paranormal #EroticRomance

9th-day-of-sexy-final

And on the 9th Day of Sexy we bring you Sara Anderson and her newest release in the Wild Mountain Shifters series…and it’s a holiday tale, too. Congratulations to Sara!

white-mountain-christmas-evernightpublishing-nov2016

In Christmas story, White Mountain Christmas, Blair is making goodies for a Christmas party. The theme is the 12 days of Christmas and she chose 9 Ladies Dancing.
She made her basic sugar cookies recipe…
1 c. butter, softened
1½ c. sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. all-purpose flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt

Then she used a cookie cutter for a lady dancing, like this one…

dress-cookie-cutter-etsy

From: Easy Dress Cookie Cutter

She cut out various ladies dancing and baked them.

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove1 piece of dough from refrigerator. On lightly floured surface, with floured rolling pin, roll dough until slightly less than 1/4 inch thick. With floured 3-inch to 4-inch cookie cutters, cut dough into as many cookies as possible; reserve trimmings. Place cookies, 1 inch apart, on two ungreased large cookie sheets.
Bake until edges are golden, 12 to 15 minutes, rotating cookie sheets between upper and lower oven racks halfway through. Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool.

After they were cool, she frosted them to look like Christmas dresses.

Here is a tutorial on frosting sugar cookies: Frosting Tutorial

And enjoy!

White Mountain Christmas Teaser

Cole turned and looked at Blair, and once again, it struck him how much he loved this woman. She had a baby in each arm and swayed as she sang along with “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”.

Aiden and Alex’s eyes were drifting closed, and it wouldn’t be long before they both drifted off to sleep. Cole came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her to sway with the music. Her head fell back against his chest as they moved slowly in a dance around the living room. This was what Cole always felt was a perfect evening. Holding his mate and his cubs together as they danced around the living room. They didn’t need to talk to feel the connection to one another, just sway to the old Christmas song. Once Aiden and Alex were as limp as overcooked noodles, Cole guided Blair to the nursery and he helped to lay them down. They snuggled them down into their crib, making sure the boys cuddled. The twin bond was strong between them, and they slept better when they touched.

Pulling the door closed ‘til only a crack was open for a bit of light, Cole then led Blair to their bedroom next to the nursery. She loved the view of his ass in those tight jeans of his. Cole was the definition of sexy to her.

****

Blair’s body began to heat up as Cole gripped the bottom of her little black sweater and pulled it up and over her head. “Baby, I told you that outfit was so sexy on you, but I think it looks so much better on the floor.”

Blair felt the rush of cold air as her sweater hit the floor. She grinned up at him.“You look just as good with your clothes joining mine.”

Cole’s heated gaze moved slowly up and down her body that was only in a bra and panties, and then he glanced at her clothing on the floor. “That is a nice, but I have to say, I like the view of it on the floor better.”

Blair shook her head as Cole picked her up and carried her to the floor in front of the fire. “Give me just a second,” he said as he stood her on her feet. He grabbed a soft blanket and laid it in front of the fireplace, then pulled Blair over. “Lie down.”

Blair dropped down onto the blanket and let Cole guide her to her back. Cole quickly undid his belt, slid his jeans down his legs, and kicked them off. His shirt soon followed, and he dropped to his knees.

Blair only had a moment to wonder what he would do.

About the book

~Editor’s Pick~

For the first time in her life, Vivian Duffy is pushing herself to the limits of her abilities. With people dying in her city she seems to be the only one willing to dig for the answers when the evidence isn’t making any sense. But when her sister fits the profile of the killer’s victims, Viv knows she may need to make some hard choices.

Jason has walked the Earth for more years than he cares to remember. Always with the singular goal of ensuring the safety of all the humans around him. Meeting the woman who was meant to be his was never even a consideration for him, not until Vivian crosses paths with him at the scene of a murder.

The danger is growing around them, and with the fate of his woman on the line this Argonaut will do whatever is needed to keep her protected.

This is a previously published work. It has been revised and edited for Evernight Publishing

Excerpt – G Rated –

Dropping his carry-on at his feet, Jason stretched his arms over his head. The flight into Seattle had been damn long. They’d had to make an impromptu landing when one of the passengers had gotten out of hand. Then there was a wait while the local police had pried him and his pissed off wife from the plane.

There’d been further delay when a storm had blown in, leaving them sitting on a runway for another three hours. Finally, they’d made it into the air during a break in the squall and were back on their way.

It had been a very long day in the air and on the ground. He was where he needed to be, though. Now all he had to do was find James so they could get their behinds moving. Which, knowing the cowboy as he did, the other man would likely be in the nearest bar. Grabbing his bag, he scoped out the area and spotted the one that would call to the Wild West gunman.

Too easy. Rolling his eyes, Jason slung the duffel over his shoulder and made his way to the tavern. Inside, he spotted James easily. The man was holding court with a gaggle of women, who were all drooling over his authentic accent. Why Mercury had thought putting the two of them together on a mission was a good idea, he’d never figure out.

Reaching the table, he dropped his luggage again. “James.”

“Jason!” James popped to his feet and came around to hug Jason, pounding his back. “Good of you to join us. Ladies, this is Jason. Jase, these are the ladies. They’ve been keeping me company while I waited for your flight. I heard ya’ll had a bit of trouble, got stuck through a bit of a storm. Bad luck, that.”

“Yeah, to say the least.” Jason gave a slight bow to the women. “Which means we really should get going, James. We have a job to do, and I’m sure you’ve had more than your fair share of drinking already today.”

“Right, true enough,” James said with a nod. “Sorry, ladies, but the man has a point. So, if ya’ll want to give me your numbers, I’ll call each and every one of ya’ll as soon as I can.” He leaned over and grinned at a blonde. “Especially you, sugar.” He handed off his phone and collected from all six.

When he had gotten his cell back, plus a few kisses, they paid his tab and went to collect the rental car. Passing James the folder from Mercury, Jason settled behind the wheel and got them moving.

“Shit, this here’s rather thin,” James said.

“I know. There’s not a lot to go on. A few really old cases that may or may not be related, and then the two newest ones. I don’t have a clue if this is anything more than a wild goose chase.”

“Damn,” James breathed. “Well, I guess all we can really do is check them out and see if it was human killings, or if it was more. Really wish these assholes would leave us calling cards. Be so much easier in the long run.”

“Yeah, just what we need. The evil ones leaving calling cards at their murders. Then we’d have the feds on each of the cases, looking for a serial killer that apparently hops from one end of the country to the other and back again. Somehow, I don’t see that as something that would work out well for us.”

“No, I guess not,” James muttered. “So, which one do we want to look at first?”

“Given where we are, we’ll look at the scene that was out north of Jefferson Park Golf Club. It’s the closest,” Jason answered. “After that, we’ll head to the one that happened in the Lower Queen Anne district. I doubt there will be much left after all this time, but you never know.” They could get lucky, though he didn’t hold out much hope for that. It hadn’t done him a lot of good over the years.

Twenty minutes later, they were studying the scene a block north and slightly east of the golf club. As he’d surmised, there wasn’t a lot left beyond some scraggly pieces of police tape and stains on the concrete.

But Jason wasn’t really interested in the scene itself. It was what was around that counted. Moving to where the body had been found, he turned his back. He wanted to know what the victim, a young woman by the name of Katy, had seen in her last moments.

It wasn’t a horrible area, not by a long shot. A little wear and tear, but nothing that jumped out and screamed “worst neighborhood on the planet.” There was some graffiti, but again, nothing that stated they were in gang territory, or a place most folks wouldn’t enter in the middle of the afternoon, let alone after dark.

For all intents and purposes, it was an average area, in an average American city, with nothing to make it stand out. Except for one thing. “We need to get Helen to pull the video feed from the night of the murder.”

“Wouldn’t the police have done that already?” James asked him.

“Possibly, likely even,” Jason said. “They’re not us, though, and they may not see what we will. Most humans don’t want to acknowledge the strange and unusual. Their minds automatically cover it up, and they play it off as a trick of the light, a shadow, or something else that allows them to sleep at night.”

“Good point.” His partner nodded. “Well, we might as well head to the next scene. Maybe there will be video around there, too.”

Jason was hoping so on the drive into Lower Queen Anne. They needed a break on the case, if there really was one. Reaching the corner of West Republican Street and Second Avenue, they found a parking spot. Jason climbed out of the SUV and looked around. Apparently, luck was on their side this time. “We have cameras,” he announced.

James nodded. “So I see. I’ll call Helen and get her to do her thing. Be nice to know if we’re just dealing with a regular old killer or a monster. Not that a regular killer is all that great, but it’s a hell of a lot better than the alternative.”

While James made the call back to the Mountain, Jason headed for the alley between buildings, where the murder had occurred. Ten feet in, he stopped. The police tape that remained was in slightly better condition than at the last spot. Turning, he gazed up at the buildings on each side.

A lot of windows, but given what was in each building and the time of night the young man, Vern, had been killed, there wouldn’t have been witnesses. Unfortunately, he didn’t think the video would be all that helpful, either, given where the cameras were located.

Walking back out to the street, he headed for the truck and James. The cowboy was off the phone and lounging back against the bumper, checking out women as they went past.

“Tell me you’re not checking out women on the street?”

“All right, I’ll tell you I’m not checking out women on the street,” James answered. “Even though they are damn fine.” He nodded to another one, receiving a smile in return.

“Anyone ever mention you are—what is that quaint saying? Ah yes … you are a dog,” Jason said.

“Woof.” James grinned at him. “We done here?”

“Yes, there’s nothing to see. We’ll need to hope we get some video. Did you contact Helen?”

“She’ll be pulling it as soon as she can. She said she had to find it first but will call as soon as she has something for us.”

“Good,” Jason said. “We might as well go to our hotel. I doubt we’ll get anything from her today, and I’m starving. They didn’t even have those little pouches of peanuts on the flight.”

“That’s because everyone’s all paranoid by the rise in allergies. They ditched the peanuts off flights, banned peanut butter from schools, and are coddling everyone. Too many people have turned into pansies. It’s deplorable,” James muttered with a sneer.

Jason wasn’t about to argue with him. Climbing into the truck, he put it in gear and got them moving toward their hotel. Food, a shower, and then sleep. In that order.

Hello! Thank you so much for having me today!

I’m super thrilled to share with you my latest release, Wet (Elemental 1)! Wet is the first in a five-book paranormal romance series. My Elemental series is a re-release after some noteworthy revisions and scene additions – so even if you read the previous version of Elemental 1, this one will have some new surprises for you! Without further ado, I present, Wet!

Wet-Final
Blurb:

Blake Hawke, first born of the four Hawke brothers, has the ability to control water.

Keeping the family secret is a big deal. A deal Blake all but throws out the window when he finds Brooke sitting alone on the beach. Before he knows it he’s showing her everything he can do – until he gets the call that his baby sister is trapped between an impossible fire and a cliff.

Brooke has barely come to terms with the fact that she’s got the hots for a real-life Aquaman when news breaks that they have serious enemies. Now she’s got a guy to win, a secret to keep, and weather-controlling enemies to look out for. The last thing she needs is to add some creepy stalker to the list.

Can Blake protect his family and the woman he’s falling in love with from an enemy he never knew he had?

Wet-Banner1
Excerpt:

It was all she could do to keep from jogging to the shore when she spotted him, sitting on the edge of the tide with his feet in the water.
As she drew nearer, she slowed, taking in the sight of him with his elbows resting on raised knees and his chin cradled between his linked thumbs and index fingers. It was a thoughtful, reflective position. Sobering. She almost felt bad for some of the thoughts that had been swimming around in her head a moment ago. Almost.
“Hey.” Brooke settled next to him on the sand. She kept her feet curled up and out to the side at her knees so as to keep her shoes from getting wet.
Blake turned his attention to her, his posture relaxing as a smile lifted his lips. “Hey, thanks for meeting me.”
She returned his smile. “So what did you want to talk about? Did something else happen?”
“No. I just thought maybe we should talk one-on-one, you know, after you’d had a chance to sleep on everything.” He paused and studied her, looking for something. Whether or not he found it, Brooke had no idea. “How are you handling all that?”
Releasing a breath, Brooke said, “Me? I’m handling it okay. I mean, for me it’s more surreal and startling to learn about the existence of people with powers like yours. I’m not being targeted, remember? So it’s only scary in the abstract.”
Blake arched a brow at her choice of words. “Abstract, huh? And how’s that?”
Brooke allowed her smile to feel a little flirtatious as she leaned forward and brushed her fingertips along his cheekbone. “I don’t want anything to happen to you is all,” she whispered.
Blake swallowed and the tide rolled in a little higher, just barely brushing her knees. Then he’d threaded his fingers into her hair and crushed his lips to hers, his other arm winding around her waist to hold her in place.
It was all she could do to swallow the moan in her throat as she kissed him back. His hair was soft over her fingers when her hands slipped behind his head, and his tongue was hot in her mouth when her lips parted. She’d nearly forgotten how good he tasted.
She could’ve sworn she purred as his tongue stroked hers, desire burning low and hot in her belly. It was such a contrast to the cold water that continued to tease her knees. Blake’s fingers dipped beneath her lightweight sweater, his soft touch teasing her skin and finally pulling free the moan she’d been fighting. He sucked on her tongue, putting more weight into his touch, until his thumb found the right spot to have her arching into him.
He released her lips as her breasts pressed firmly into his chest, trailing his kiss down the side of her throat. She held onto him, moaning again as he shifted to cradle her body more properly against his.
“Blake,” she breathed as his tongue danced around the hollow at the base of her throat.
He rumbled and lowered his head, tongue and lips sliding to her collar bone and down to the line of her scoop-neck sweater. And oh, how she wanted him to keep going. To tear off her clothes and kiss the rest of her aching body with the same tender hunger he was bestowing to her collar and neck. How she wanted to feel his heady touch in private places. Brooke doubted she’d ever been so immediately hungry for a man.
Blake made a sort of groaning sound and removed his lips from her skin. “God, you’re distracting.”
“That’s a bad thing?”
He grinned. “Not really. I just feel like there’s more that should be said first.”
“And you can’t talk while you’re kissing me.” Her words were resigned, because she knew he was right. She just didn’t want him to be.
“Exactly.”
Looping her arms loosely around his shoulders and making no move to otherwise adjust herself, Brooke said, “So talk. What’s on your mind?”
The question was ridiculous, of course. She knew what was on his mind in more ways than one. She just suspected she hadn’t properly absorbed it all yet. There was still some sort of surreal distance between her sense of reality and the ideas the Hawke family had discussed the day before. People who can throw lightning. Really? But then again, the man she was currently embracing could become water—she’d seen it herself. So was the rest really so far out there?
Blake released a breath and pulled her in enough to rest his head on her shoulders. “Everything, I guess,” he admitted. “I really want my uncle to be crazy, but … that’s not his style. He’s a realist, even if his ‘realism’ sounds impossible.”
“And you’re worried,” Brooke guessed gently, her fingers weaving through his hair and massaging his scalp in an attempt to comfort him.
“Yeah.”
“Blake, that’s natural,” she said. “They’re your family, and you just found out you might have enemies who can generate your kryptonite at will. That’s heavy.” As she said it, she realized she was exactly right. She could only imagine how terrifying that would be for him and his brothers. To go from knowing they had more power than the people around them—knowing they were stronger—to learning they had invisible enemies designed specifically to hurt them. Although that might be over-simplifying…
Blake straightened after a moment, taking his time dragging his gaze up to hers. “I know. And I swear I really did want to make sure you were okay, all things considered.” He paused and brushed his lips lightly over hers again. “But it’s possible I was also hoping for a distraction.”
Swallowing a schoolgirl giggle, Brooke raised exaggeratedly dramatic eyebrows at him. “Weren’t you just complaining about that?”
“I was confused,” Blake insisted, sliding the hand still beneath her sweater a little higher. “I understand now.”
“Understand what?” she challenged, fighting her natural response to his touch.
Blake met her challenge with a confident grin and caught her mouth in another hot, demanding kiss.

About Rose:
Rose Wulf is a giant romance fangirl. Hot, protective, sometimes even downright barbaric heroes and spitfire heroines are her favorites. Rose has been writing for as long as she can remember, and over the years she’s only grown fonder of it. The bonds between characters have always captivated her, and as an author those are Rose’s favorite things to play with – not always to the relief of her fictional babies!
Behind the scenes Rose is a quiet personality. She enjoys spending her non-writing time with her four year-old German Shepherd, Shadow, her mom, and her friends. Be it a fun game of Cards Against Humanity or a relaxing movie night, Rose believes everything is better with company. As for her own romance, she’s still searching for her hero (and hoping that, when she does find him, he’ll be willing to cook!).

Found in Flames
by Rose Wulf
Hello everyone! I’m author Rose Wulf and I’m here today to tell you all about my latest release, Found in Flames! Found in Flames is Book 1.5 in my Night Shadows series, which is set in a world full of vampires, werewolves, witches, and humans called Slayers. This installment focuses on the powerful, sexy Luka Craige – Alpha werewolf with a mission – and unassuming, overworked Joella Harp – a human caught in the crossfire.
FB_IMG_1448937085325

All his life Luka Craige has been haunted by the witch that killed his family. Finally, having chased him across the country to the edge of vampire territory, Luka has his chance at vengeance. But not before his Beta is killed and Luka finds himself protecting a woman he doesn’t know. A woman who arouses him like never before. Could he possibly exact his revenge and find his mate?
A burning body was the last thing Joella Harp expected to find when she rounded the corner. Let alone a body with a man standing over it. After that her droll life becomes a whirlwind of werewolves, wild sex, and deadly fire. The witch wants her dead, she can barely think past her mouthwatering rescuer, and in no time she realizes this adventure could be more than a fantastical memory…. If she’s brave enough.

Excerpt:
The body over his shoulder tensed in split-second warning and Luka cringed even as another high-pitched shriek tore through the air. If my ears ever stop ringing I’ll be damn lucky. And judging from the expressions of the frozen, wide-eyed, wincing wolves around him, Luka imagined he wasn’t the only one who felt that way. But he knew damned well he was the only one who’d do anything about it, so he kicked aside a rock and deliberately dropped the woman on her ass.
Her scent rushed past his nose as she fell and he was reminded forcefully of the wave of desire he’d first felt when he’d tackled her full-figured, curvy body to the ground in that alley. For an illogical moment he’d wanted nothing more than to taste her. Fortunately, as before, he was quickly pulled back to his senses.
“Ow!” the woman exclaimed, her scream ending abruptly as she crashed onto the dirt. The jolt of the impact only threw her off for a moment, however, as she immediately scrambled to her feet and threw a pointer finger into his face. Or, rather, as ‘in his face’ as she could from her 5’8” height. It was kind of cute the way she had to crane her neck just to maintain eye contact when she got close. “Just who do you think you are, pal?” she said, jabbing his collar with her finger. “You can’t run around kidnapping people!”
He had a fleeting second to consider that, under vastly different circumstances, he might have been highly entertained by the scene she presented. But he was in no mood for humor or long, loud, unfounded lectures. Fortunately, their audience wasn’t afraid to make itself known, either.
Distinct throat-clearing from Chad seemed to break through her rage because her eyes widened and she cut a glance to the side. Luka watched as she quickly realized they weren’t alone, noting the rush of blood to her cheeks and the way her shoulders tightened as her scent changed from surprise to embarrassment to fear. She turned in a complete circle, taking in the gathering strangers, and when she was done she’d taken a partial step closer, as if she suddenly trusted him.
“Where are we?” she whispered out the side of her mouth.
“Safe,” Luka replied shortly. If he’d intended to say anything else, though, he supposed he ought to have known better.
The woman whose name he didn’t yet know spun back to him, her brown eyes wide again. “Safe? Are you serious? I’ve been kidnapped! How am I supposed to feel safe?”
“Maybe you shouldn’t,” Vanna offered bitingly as she and Morgan stepped down from a crevice of rocks, lightweight dresses hanging off their shoulders. They came to a stop several feet away, on the other side of Chad, and kept their glares on the human as if they were sending her psychic insults. Which, Luka figured, they undoubtedly would if they could.
But Luka really wasn’t in the mood for their crap, so he cut in with a glare at the wolf who should’ve known better. “Vanna.” He waited until she’d looked away, head bowed and silent, before returning his attention to the human woman. “You can leave whenever you want,” he said bluntly. “But out there,” he added, jerking his head over his shoulders to indicate the city lights she probably couldn’t see, “the witch can get you. And he will come.”
The woman’s mouth opened, her scent telling him she was fully prepared to argue with his statement, and he knew the exact moment her brain processed his words. A couple of heartbeats later her mouth snapped shut and she swallowed heavily.
“Al—” Chad began, cutting himself off and clearing his throat as he obviously thought better of his wording. “What about Justin?” he asked instead. “Do you want me to go find him?”
Schooling his expression into the closest thing he could manage to minor frustration, Luka replied, “No.”
“But—”
“No,” he repeated, lifting a stare to the younger wolf for emphasis.
“I’m sorry,” the woman finally mumbled as Chad’s head lowered in submission. “Did you say ‘witch’?”

Excerpt:

They rode the elevator to the
sixth floor in near silence, the eddies of lust making the small space nearly
insufferable for him, and his mate leaned against the wall as though she might
slip to the floor any moment. Her brow and temples glistened with sweat and her
fingers twitched spasmodically. She was coming into her full heat and fighting
it all the way.
Stepping off when the doors
opened, he strode in the direction the small arrow indicated and found the room
within several yards. The key card gave them entrance and he flicked on the
light. He shoved the cases just inside the door, blocking the heavy panel with
his forearm so it wouldn’t close. “In you go, River.”
Did women trudge? His woman did,
despite the trembling of her entire body. His heart ached at her trepidation
despite the all-encompassing lust he experienced. Her head down, intense need
radiating to pull him in, he threw the deadbolt, and then gave in to what their
nature decreed.
 Thrusting his hand through
her thick mane, his fingers weaving among the long, silky strands just as he’d
fantasized, he drew her head back and forced her to look him in the eyes. Hers
were dilated, the rich brown irises nearly eclipsed by the stark black of her
pupils. Square, white teeth clenched her full bottom lip, presumably to control
panting, because she drew draughts of air in through her nose. He could detect
the threads of resignation weaving through her vast need, her intense heat
rapidly eclipsing any coherent thought. Regret that he’d caused this once again
pierced his own narrowly shrinking focus—but only briefly. He lowered his head
and took her mouth.
Sweetness and life burst over his
senses at his first taste, and he groaned against her full lips even as his
tongue made a foray past them. River totally surrendered, as female wolves do
when they met their fated mate, and he barely had time for that thought—fated
mate
—before he wrapped an arm around her limp form. Two steps and they fell
to the big bed, the mattress compressing beneath their combined weight as he
ravished her mouth. She opened to let him in and gave up all the flavor that
was uniquely her.
He reluctantly tore his lips away
to rear up and shred the plain shirt that hid her from his view. Her lightly
tanned skin filled his vision as her utilitarian bra met the same fate, and he
noted with pleasure how modest her tan lines were. His wolf rose up. Mine. The
growling claim resounded in the room and her eyes fluttered open and she
blinked. Behind the thicket of her dark lashes, a sexual haze again blurred the
rich chocolate, and her lids drifted shut.
Once they came to know one
another, their coming together could be slowed and savored, but for now, he
needed to visibly establish his claim. His frantic cock shuddered in agreement
as he demolished the tough denim of her jeans, taking care not to score her
soft skin with a claw.
With her nude beneath him, his
gaze drawn to the soft, pale fur at her apex, he willed his other-self back,
and his claws retracted. Lord knew what she’d seen when she’d stared up at him.
Probably a wild-eyed beast intent on its succulent prey, and he
blessed the Mother and the mating heat that River hadn’t screamed in fear. Only
an alpha could partially shift, and it was unlikely she’d seen one in such a
state before.
His own apparel fell away as he
quickly stripped and then blanketed his mate’s writhing form. Velvety
flesh met his own in a haze of heat and sensation.
“Please.” Her plea was strangled
and all the more evocative because of it.
“I’ll take care of you,” he promised.
“Always.”

Burn by @EllaGrey #EvernightPub #RomanceOnTheGo #Paranormal

Thanks for having me on your blog today. It’s been a long journey for Burn and I’m happy it found a home with Evernight. I hope you enjoy Demon and Jace as much as I enjoyed writing them.

burn1l__40827.1449188271.432.648Blurb
She wants him…
Jace knows there are things other than human living on the mortal realm—vampires, shifters, the fey, and her own brand of witchery. She thought she’d seen it all. Until she meets Demon. He’s a Phoenix, a creature so rare that some don’t believe they exist at all.
He burns hot…
With the tendency to burn the partners he takes to bed, it’s been a long time since he’s had a woman. The empathic witch in the bar knows how to handle his type of fire and he’s intrigued. He just needs one night to connect with someone, a chance to feel anything but the constant loneliness. He doesn’t expect that one night to change everything, including his heart.
But something is chasing Demon and it’s willing to go through Jace to get him.

Excerpt:
Demon tried to stop the natural instinct to read her mind, but her emotions still flooded into him. Nervous, excited, and horny as hell.
He liked her already.
The black dress she wore stopped at her knees and covered curves that made his mouth dry in anticipation. The barest flash of flesh from where her boots ended and her dress started was mesmerizing. Black eyeliner highlighted green eyes and red lipstick completed the look. Had she gone to the bar to pick someone up? A wave of possessiveness swept through him. He wanted to claim her. To feel her body writhing underneath his.

Demon shook his head. There was a chance that he might hurt her it had been a while since he’d been with anyone.
She stopped at a traffic light and pushed the button. The cars passed in a wild blur in front of them. The world continued to move as it always did. Demon stopped next to her. The hour was getting late. The sky covered with stars. He reached out and pressed a hand to her lower back. Her breath caught. A heavy musk of sandalwood filled his nose, a scent most witches gave off while they worked magic or were aroused.
He turned slightly and dipped his head. “How much further do we have to walk?” he whispered against the curve of her ear as he dropped his hand lower.
A small smile curved her lips. “I live on the top floor of the apartment with the red door. And if you don’t stop touching me we might not make it that far.”
A chuckle escaped him. “The streets aren’t exactly deserted, gorgeous. You want to draw a crowd?”
She sighed. “It would be worth it.”
