BLURB

For years, Blake the Snake, as he was known to his Alpha Chi Gamma brothers, took pictures of the conquests of auction winners having sex with their “prizes” at the fraternity’s annual Spring Bacchanalia. It was all in fun, until he stopped a young woman from being raped by the football player who had won her.

From that moment on, Blake Bombay’s life changed forever. He became obsessed with Kendra Kensington, and worked tirelessly to keep her safe. While watching her from afar, he plotted and planned for the day when she would be his. Trouble was, she didn’t know it. She never saw his face that night or learned his name. But that didn’t matter to Blake. She was his. She had always been his, and one day she would be his forever.

EXCERPT

“Oh, wait. What have we here?” He turned her around so her back faced him, and brushed his hand across her soaking wet slit. “Oh, Kendra…”

There was no answer. She couldn’t even moan. She was lost in the heady sensations once more of his hands on her, caressing her in exactly the right way to bring an orgasm close. He played with her clit, teasing it until Kendra’s moans grew loud, and she pushed back against him, wanting more.

“What should I do with you, you naughty girl?”

Oh, what a question! “Anything you want.”

His soft chuckle sent a thrill racing through her. “You might regret saying that.”

“Not a chance.” Every cell in her body tingled with desire.

When he lifted her skirt, he brushed his hand over her ass cheeks, alternating them. “You really do have a beautiful ass.”

“Thank you.” She was out of her mind with need. Nothing existed except his touch on her skin.

The swats on her ass were light at first, but Kendra had to hang onto him once he began. She’d never been so turned on in her life. Her clit contracted in tiny spasms as the strikes grew harder, burning now each time he hit her. But at the same time, Kendra didn’t want him to stop. Her climax inched closer when she flexed her Kegel muscles, sending shockwaves of desire racing through her groin and out to her fingers and toes.

“Let’s see how much you like this.” He brushed his fingers over her labia. “Oh, wow. I’d say a lot.”

The giggles turned to moans when he pushed two fingers into her pussy. Blake kissed her neck as he finger-fucked her, his thumb now rubbing her clit in time to his thrusts. She clutched his arm for support as a crazy orgasm began, and when he realized what was happening, he bent her over the table until her she rested face down on the surface. Her torso was supported, but her ass was bare.

“Please don’t stop, Blake.”

“I won’t, sweetheart.” He continued moving his fingers in out of her until the climax finished. She was so wet, Kendra heard slurping sounds when he finally removed his digits from inside her pussy.

“Oh, fuck.” Blake spanked her a few more times on each cheek, harder this time, before she heard the sound of a zipper. “I can’t wait, Kendra. I’ve never done anything so fucking sexy in my life.”

The tip of his dick rubbed her ass cheeks, and Kendra was certain she’d go out of her mind long before he got it inside her. He ran one finger along the crack of her ass.

“I’m going to fuck you right here, on this table. What do you think about that?”

“Yes. Please!

“Oh, Kendra…” He grasped her right hip and slid his cock into her pussy, groaning loudly. Kendra cried out in pleasure as he slammed into her. His thrusts were quick and powerful, and she loved it. Being taken like this, still fully clothed and bent over the dining room table, was the kinkiest thing she’d ever done.

While David Bowie sang about his China girl, Blake fucked her like a runaway train. When he massaged her clit again, another climax tore through her, making her dizzy with its intensity.

“Kendra … oh my God, this feels so damn fantastic!”

Inspiration, Perspiration, Dedication–Don’t Fight the Write @JulesofTripleR #amwriting #Fridayblog #writers

Inspirational- Nobody is too busy, it's just a matter of priorities

Inspiration, Perspiration, Dedication–Don’t Fight the Write

I’m asked a lot about where I get my inspiration from. There’s one simple answer…life. I listen to what’s going on around me. I seek out articles on the Internet that are about people who have done things differently, changed their paths, had it rough. I remember back to what has happened in my life. I grew up poor. Dirt poor would have been an upgrade. I went hungry many nights because I wanted my family to be able to eat a decent serving of food, so I feigned that I wasn’t feeling well or wasn’t hungry. I remember back that feeling of a pit of hunger deep in my stomach–an acidic, rumbling cavern–when I need emotion. I watch people at stores and coffeehouses. I make up stories in my head about them. I choose to be inspired by all things instead of confused or downtrodden by memories or current happenings.

I also get asked about my schedule for writing. I write six (and sometimes seven) days a week. I’d love to take weekends off, but that’s not possible at this stage of my career. I want to write all the words, to take readers to a place where they can forget their day. I want to satiate a hunger inside of them for escape into another world. I want them to know they’re not alone in their struggles and issues. So I write almost every day. I write on holidays. I write on vacations. I write in bed. I skip some functions with my hubby to write. And last year I wrote 602, 462 words. No, not all of those words will ever see the light of day. Many times I write just for me, too. But still…I mentally perspire with writing every day, it’s my priority.

Then there’s the question of dedication. Why do you have this overwhelming need to write and to write a lot? I came into my passion late in life (in my 40’s, so not that late, but still). Once I’d realized I could release a part of me through words, I haven’t looked back. It’s true that once you find what you love doing it doesn’t seem to be work. I also dedicate myself to helping other writers become whoever/whatever/whenever they want. I believe that gifts and knowledge must be shared. I love reading a line that someone in my critique group wrote and it makes me tingle, shed a tear, hold my breath…then I feel like I have given my all to someone else and that dedication is the best feeling in the world.

With a little inspiration, perspiration, and dedication, writing can be the best release of emotion to take not only the reader to another place but also the writer.

Don’t fight the write—just write.

Tenth Day of Sexy-Heart So Sweet-Corrissa James @CorrissaJames #contemporary #Western #SmallTown #Giveaway

10th-day-of-sexy-final

And today we bring you Corrissa James, award-winning author, with her tales of small town romance….

Ten Lords a-Leaping (but are they just dancing?)

On the tenth day of sexy, my true love gave to me, ten lords a-leaping…

When I think of ten lords a-leaping, I can’t help but think of small town street dances. If you’ve never been to a street dance in a small town, you’re definitely missing out. The town cordons off several downtown blocks, building up a stage for live entertainment and creating a large dance area. Although people come for the dancing, the real action takes place at the tables set up all around the area. That’s where people catch up on all the latest gossip, and a secret or two always come out during a street dance.

sweethomealabama

The film Sweet Home Alabama (2002), with Reese Witherspooon, Josh Lucas, and Patrick Dempsey, offers one of the best street dance scenes I’ve ever seen on the big screen. There’s great music and dancing, of course, but in the span of just two minutes, we see the main characters dealing with several secrets (Bobby Ray’s sexuality, Melanie’s interest in Deep South Glass, and Jake knowing something about the glass but not sharing it) while Jake and Melanie also try to ignore their love for one another. All this happens while the entire community watches (and yes, everyone can see that the love between Jake and Melanie). So when those ten lords are leaping, they’re not just dancing; they’re also jumping around all the hidden truths and secrets that everyone in a small town tries to hide (but rarely very successfully).

heart-so-sweet-corrissa-jamesI incorporated a street dance scene into my book Heart So Sweet, which is about Susannah and her high-school crush, Tate, who just happens to be her older brother’s best friend until a falling out sends Tate away. Ten years later, when Tate returns to be sheriff, Susannah discovers that her crush might actually be the love of her life.

Just before the street dance scene, Susannah learns the truth about why her brother Lucas severed all ties with Tate. Of course, she couldn’t have learned that secret just a few weeks earlier, before she fell head over heels in love with Tate—or before she told Tate that the only way they could be together was if he smoothed things over with Lucas and her three other brothers, Jonathan, Daniel, and Andrew (the troublemaker with a temper). Susannah is also the type of woman who is used to being in control, so having her love life decided by two of the most important men in her life doesn’t sit too well with her. Naturally, everything comes crashing down around her at the street dance (because everyone in small towns has to be part of the drama!).

An Excerpt from Heart So Sweet

At the entrance to the dance, she breathed a sigh of relief when she handed her five dollars to a deputy. They were here, so it wasn’t too late. She wanted to ask the deputy about Tate but was having trouble thinking of a nonchalant way to drop his name without sending up red flags. By the time she did, the deputy was ushering her through so he could take the money from the trio of elderly ladies behind her.

“Why Miss Clark, so lovely to see you,” Rose Carter said, linking her arm through Susannah’s. “And is Sheriff Trudell with you this evening?”

Susannah started to answer, then saw the deputy hide a smile. She snapped her mouth shut and led the ladies further from the entrance.

Daisy Carter giggled and linked her arm through Susannah’s other arm. “He’s so yummy!”

“And about time the two of you got together.” Lily Carter’s perpetual frown was in place, but her eyes twinkled with excitement. “Been saying for years that you two would make a good couple.”

Susannah groaned. The Carter sisters might be octogenarians, but they somehow always knew everyone’s business—and weren’t afraid to let everyone know it.

“Oh, hush, Lily. You have not.” Rose shook her head at Susannah. “Don’t listen to her. She’s just jealous.”

“We all are.” Daisy giggled again. “So dreamy.”

“Actually, I’m looking for Tate—I mean, Sheriff Trudell—myself.”

Lily clucked her tongue. “He should be looking for you, not the other way around.”

Rose pointed out a table with several empty spots. As the elderly sisters settled in their seats, Rose reached out and patted Susannah’s hand. “Thank you, dear. And don’t worry about the sheriff. Perhaps he hasn’t returned from Rapid City yet.”

Susannah’s mouth went dry. “Rapid City? No, my brother was in Rapid City, not the sheriff.”

“Well, that’s not what Mrs. James told us.” Rose glanced at her sisters, then all three ladies looked at Susannah, smiling.

Susannah excused herself, trying to ignore the coldness creeping into the pit of her stomach as she rushed to find Tate. Had he really gone to speak to Lucas? She was desperate to learn the outcome but terrified by the fact that Tate hadn’t told her he was going—or that he was back. Surely if everything went well he would have come to find her, let her know that he’d worked things out with Lucas?

The fact that Tate hadn’t found her—and that he seemed to be making himself scarce—weighed so heavily on her that she stopped looking for him. Clearly Lucas hadn’t forgiven Tate, which meant that he’d never accept her relationship with Tate.

Susannah’s reaction to this realization surprised even her. She was furious—furious that her brother couldn’t or wouldn’t set aside his history with Tate to allow her just a little happiness in life. Susannah had put her own life on hold, giving up her free time to help Lucas raise Jenny and now even taking over the daily operations on the ranch. She didn’t regret her decisions for a moment, but dammit, it was time Lucas put on his big boy underwear and make this small concession for her. Determined to let him know exactly how she felt, she started to scan the picnic tables lined up along the sidewalk once more.

She saw Jenny first, and her niece came running to greet her.

“Aunt Suz, how do I look?” She twirled around in her jeans skirt and cotton top.

Susannah forced a smile. She would not let Jenny know that she was raging inside. “Stunning, as always.”

“Let me see how you look.”

Susannah twirled as well, noting that the new dress she bought seemed to be attracting a lot of attention.

Jenny noticed as well. “You’re going to be dancing all night long.”

“I hope not! I need to spend some time with my favorite niece.”

Jenny rolled her eyes. “I’m your only niece.”

“Yep, but you’re still my favorite.”

Jenny led her to the table that the family had commandeered. Daniel and Jonathan sat on the far side of the picnic table, drinking beers and calling out to people as they walked by. Andrew was standing next to the picnic table, scowling. Lucas sat on the side closest to the dance floor, but kept his back to the table. His arms were crossed and he was watching the people dance. Susannah stared at him, trying to draw his attention without causing a scene in front of her niece, but his eyes were trained on someone on the dance floor. He was following the person back and forth, without moving his head. She slid onto the seat next to him, wondering who he was watching so intently, but there were too many people, too many possibilities.

During a lull in the music, she leaned closer to him. “Care to tell me about your trip? Anything unusual come up?”

He shook his head, never taking his eyes from the dance floor.

“We need to talk. In private.” She couldn’t hide the iciness in her voice.

He looked at her now, his eyebrows raised in concern. The gesture enraged Susannah even more.

Jenny ran up and grabbed her hand. “Aunt Suz, the funnel cake guy’s here. C’mon.”

Susannah looked at Lucas. “I won’t let you ruin this for me. You owe me this.”

He turned back to the dance floor, making no indication that he had heard her.

Jenny pulled her up, trying to drag her toward to the food vendors. Susannah threw Jonathan a look begging for help, but he just shrugged at her. She let her niece lead her through the crowd while she scanned the faces for Tate. Twice she thought she saw him, but a closer look proved her wrong both times. She would find him and tell him to forget about Lucas and her whole family, if need be. If they couldn’t accept her happiness, well, then they weren’t really her family anymore, were they?

That thought drained the anger from her. Was she really willing to give up her entire family to be with Tate? She couldn’t imagine Lucas not allowing her to see Jenny. He might hate Tate, but he would never do that to his daughter. Jonathan and Daniel would eventually accept Tate, but they wouldn’t be able to stand up to Andrew, would they? Lucas might not like Tate, but he would never attack him. So it was just Andrew, which Tate said he could handle.

The line for funnel cakes wound back and forth multiple times, and Susannah groaned. She thought about trying to talk Jenny out of waiting, but it was an annual ritual for them, and she knew her niece would be heartbroken if she did. Suddenly she wondered what would happen if she and Tate had children—would their uncles accept them, welcome them into their home, take them out for ice cream, and teach them to ride? Or would she be facing a life full of holidays and firsts that she could not share with her brothers? The more her thoughts swirled in her head, the sicker she felt. She tried to tell herself that it was the sweet smell from the fried dough of the funnel cakes, but she knew better.

She couldn’t imagine a man more perfect for her than Tate, and if he brothers couldn’t accept him into the family, then she didn’t want to be part of that family anymore.

Twenty minutes later, when they were only halfway through the line, her uneasiness nearly brought her to her knees when she saw Tate meandering through the crowd. Her heart pounded, and she willed him to look her way. She wanted to call out to him, tell him not to bother with Lucas or the rest of her family, but she couldn’t have that conversation in front of Jenny.

Fate was stacked against her tonight. Tate saw Lucas sitting at the table and made a beeline for him. Susannah watched Jonathan nudge Daniel, and the two of them moved away from the table, leaving Tate and Lucas.

And Andrew.

About Corrissa James

Award-winning author Corrissa James was not always a country girl. In fact, she fought it all her life, traveling the world to live in far-flung cities like St. Petersburg, Russia, Caracas, Venezuela, Varanasi, India, and Guadalajara, Mexico. She didn’t realize she was meant to live in the country until she returned to her roots in Nebraska, where she discovered the beauty of the fields around her (even if she was allergic to them) and the intensity of Mother Nature (who sure packs a wallop!).

Corrissa wrote her first romance stories in junior high, although at the time she didn’t really know what happened after kissing, so she improvised with lots of ellipses (…). Today she writes contemporary western romance novels, offering afternoon reads focused on strong women and the men they choose (never without some struggles along the way).

Ninth Day of Sexy- White Mountain Christmas by Sara Anderson of @EvernightPub #Paranormal #EroticRomance

9th-day-of-sexy-final

And on the 9th Day of Sexy we bring you Sara Anderson and her newest release in the Wild Mountain Shifters series…and it’s a holiday tale, too. Congratulations to Sara!

white-mountain-christmas-evernightpublishing-nov2016

In Christmas story, White Mountain Christmas, Blair is making goodies for a Christmas party. The theme is the 12 days of Christmas and she chose 9 Ladies Dancing.
She made her basic sugar cookies recipe…
1 c. butter, softened
1½ c. sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. all-purpose flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt

Then she used a cookie cutter for a lady dancing, like this one…

dress-cookie-cutter-etsy

From: Easy Dress Cookie Cutter

She cut out various ladies dancing and baked them.

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove1 piece of dough from refrigerator. On lightly floured surface, with floured rolling pin, roll dough until slightly less than 1/4 inch thick. With floured 3-inch to 4-inch cookie cutters, cut dough into as many cookies as possible; reserve trimmings. Place cookies, 1 inch apart, on two ungreased large cookie sheets.
Bake until edges are golden, 12 to 15 minutes, rotating cookie sheets between upper and lower oven racks halfway through. Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool.

After they were cool, she frosted them to look like Christmas dresses.

Here is a tutorial on frosting sugar cookies: Frosting Tutorial

And enjoy!

White Mountain Christmas Teaser

Cole turned and looked at Blair, and once again, it struck him how much he loved this woman. She had a baby in each arm and swayed as she sang along with “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”.

Aiden and Alex’s eyes were drifting closed, and it wouldn’t be long before they both drifted off to sleep. Cole came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her to sway with the music. Her head fell back against his chest as they moved slowly in a dance around the living room. This was what Cole always felt was a perfect evening. Holding his mate and his cubs together as they danced around the living room. They didn’t need to talk to feel the connection to one another, just sway to the old Christmas song. Once Aiden and Alex were as limp as overcooked noodles, Cole guided Blair to the nursery and he helped to lay them down. They snuggled them down into their crib, making sure the boys cuddled. The twin bond was strong between them, and they slept better when they touched.

Pulling the door closed ‘til only a crack was open for a bit of light, Cole then led Blair to their bedroom next to the nursery. She loved the view of his ass in those tight jeans of his. Cole was the definition of sexy to her.

****

Blair’s body began to heat up as Cole gripped the bottom of her little black sweater and pulled it up and over her head. “Baby, I told you that outfit was so sexy on you, but I think it looks so much better on the floor.”

Blair felt the rush of cold air as her sweater hit the floor. She grinned up at him.“You look just as good with your clothes joining mine.”

Cole’s heated gaze moved slowly up and down her body that was only in a bra and panties, and then he glanced at her clothing on the floor. “That is a nice, but I have to say, I like the view of it on the floor better.”

Blair shook her head as Cole picked her up and carried her to the floor in front of the fire. “Give me just a second,” he said as he stood her on her feet. He grabbed a soft blanket and laid it in front of the fireplace, then pulled Blair over. “Lie down.”

Blair dropped down onto the blanket and let Cole guide her to her back. Cole quickly undid his belt, slid his jeans down his legs, and kicked them off. His shirt soon followed, and he dropped to his knees.

Blair only had a moment to wonder what he would do.

Fifth Day of Sexy-Willow Creek Series-Jacqueline Winters-@jwintersak #romance #contemporary #Series

5th-day-of-sexy-final

**Don’t forget the Rafflecopter at the bottom of the post!

Thank you Jules for having me on your blog for your fun 12 Days of Sexy! I am excited for day five – Five Golden Rings! When I think rings, I don’t think jewelry. I think donuts! I have a major sweet tooth, and therefore, so do many of my characters. I thought I’d share with you a favorite Christmas sweet treat from five characters from my Willow Creek series.

Allie Jordan – From as far back as Allie can remember, her family would wake up early the Friday after Thanksgiving and pull out every Christmas box, tub, and decoration from the attic. Her dad would make pancakes and top them with whipped cream, strawberries, and green sprinkles. After his passing, she took over the pancake production. Her family would spend the entire day decorating the inside and outside of the house. Then they’d have those same holiday pancakes again for supper.

Kim Wilkerson – If you’ve met Kim, you know she loves cupcakes. This love developed early in life, when she was just a little girl standing on a chair in her grandma’s kitchen so she could reach the counter and help stir the cupcake batter. Which, of course, also involved swiping the bowl with her fingers a few times. Her grandma makes her special chocolate cupcakes from scratch only once a year, just a couple weeks before Christmas, and decorates them with her special cream cheese frosting colored red and green. Kim hasn’t missed an opportunity yet to help and, um, taste-test the goods!

Hannah Rowe – Hannah’s mom loves to bake, but she doesn’t like to have an audience while doing so. But that never stops Hannah from sneaking into the kitchen to swipe a fresh peppermint cookie off the counter while they’re cooling. Though these shortbread cookies sprinkled with peppermint are tasty while they’re fresh out of the oven, Hannah’s favorite way to eat them is after they’ve been iced with powdered sugar icing and chilled in the freezer. She’s been known to sneak out of her bed after midnight and help herself to a few frozen peppermint cookies and a big glass of milk.

Aunt Ruby Rowe – Aunt Ruby’s fondest Christmas memory as a little girl was going to her grandparents farm on Christmas Eve. Though money was always a little tight, especially with fourteen grandchildren, her grandma would make each grandkid one popcorn ball and hand them out in the evening while her grandpa read to them around the tree and the fireplace. Her grandma always saved a special green one for Ruby because it’s her favorite color.

Claire Montgomery – No one has met Claire yet, but you’ll have the chance to meet the woman who steals Alex Rowe’s heart in April 2017. Though Claire spent most of her childhood moving around from place to place with her mom, and the type of Christmas they were going to have was always a little uncertain, there was one tradition they never broke. Every December, they would search several grocery stores until they found round pretzels to make what they always called Reindeer noses. They’d melt Hersey kisses inside the circle pretzels and top them off with red M&Ms. Claire was notorious for sneaking a reindeer nose first thing in the morning before her mom woke up.

Have a very Merry Christmas!

~Jacqueline

If you haven’t had the chance to meet some of these characters, check out my Willow Creek series. This series is for readers who enjoy a little romance, a bit steam, a few laughs, and a twist of suspense.

Three French Hens for the Holiday: Faith, Hope and Love

I love history, and learning where things come from. I saw writing this blog post as a chance to delve into the origins of the Twelve Days of Christmas songs. Thanks, Jules for this fantastic idea and the opportunity to participate.

Here is what I found. There are two main strands of thoughts. The Wikipedia version, not very surprising, tells us that it’s an English Christmas Carol of French origin. The second, a bit more interesting story, is that was written by Roman Catholics in England who were forbidden to practice their religion. The song served as a catechism for children. Each line coded to teach them the tenants of their faith—in secret.

I must confess that I’m not Catholic (pun intended!) but find the hidden code theory intriguing. In this version, the three French hens symbolize faith, hope and love. For the holiday season, that seems like a wonderful focus for this post. I wish you and the world,

FAITH, that peace will come for all in the new year;
HOPE, that all wounds heal;

and LOVE, to all.

I’ll end it by sharing my love story. Full of faith in the power of redemption, hope that the hero and heroine find a way to get together, and love. Lots of love—emotional and physical.

Happy Holiday Season. My gift, an Amazon giveaway. Click this link for a chance to win a free copy of Race to Redemption.

Excerpt

Julia stopped walking, thinking, breathing! Her world narrowed to him—his tousled, thick, brown hair, his mesmerizing gray-blue eyes that changed with his every mood, and his long, thick lashes that were the envy of every girl in high school. Julia devoured Ethan with her eyes. She couldn’t help herself. She was starved. He was taller and more built than she recalled, but his handsome face with its square chin, slightly crooked nose from years of playing football, and full, sensuous lips, was the same image that visited her dreams nightly.

Julia knew the instant he became aware of her. He stopped answering Aimee as his gaze shifted and centered on her. His pupils widened and his eyes darkened to a smoky gray. Aimee followed his gaze. Her brows furrowed and she took a step toward Julia. But Ethan grasped her elbow and shook his head.

Julia’s eyes never left Ethan’s tall, muscular frame as he walked toward her. The room and all its inhabitants fell away until there was only him. The soft caress of his eyes touched every inch of her. She studied his face, but his expression was neutral. He stood silently examining her and it was left to Julia to break the silence. The problem was she had no idea what to say. No words were adequate to express how she felt. But as her eyes locked with his, she hoped they voiced what her lips couldn’t. She missed him. Missed him every second, minute, and hour they were apart. When he was hers, he was her best friend, her lover, her confidant. He was her everything. When she lost him, the ground beneath her feet shook so violently, it brought her to her knees and it took years to learn how to stand on her own, without him.

Tears pooled in Julia’s eyes and spilled down her cheeks. She wrapped her arms around herself. Ethan’s assessing gaze tracked her every movement and then his eyes, followed by his mouth, softened.

He remembered.
